I.T. Outsourcing Seminar, Colegio de San Juan de Letran

The I.T. Outsourcing Seminar is an initiative of Genesys, an active student organization in the Colegio de San Juan de Letran in the field of Information Technology.

Mr. Jan Pabellon, IT Group’s VP for Business Development, was invited as one of the seminar’s guest speakers where he talked about opportunities and trends in the IT Outsourcing industry.

The seminar was held last August 1, 2008 at the St. Thomas Hall of Colegio de San Juan de Letran at Intramuros, Manila. It was attended by all 4th year students of the Information
Technology Department.

MISA RAMA Event. See IT. Think IT. Live IT., Ateneo de Manila University
The event is dubbed as "MISA RAMA. See IT. Think IT. Live IT." This was another initiative of the Management Information Systems Association (MISA), the leading IT student organization in the Ateneo de Manila University; and the same group that we had worked with for the first ever Ateneo Business-IT Solutions Competition (ABITSC) held last February 2008.

The event was attended by junior and senior high school students from different schools all over Metro Manila. The event featured talks, seminars, and workshops that aimed to lure the participants in taking IT-related courses by showing them how IT has helped shape people's lives, possible career paths and the importance of IT in a fast changing world. And at the end of the seminars, there was a case study solving activity. Mr. Russell Yao, of IT Group's Account Managers and an Ateneo alumnus, gave talk about different approaches one can use in solving IT/business cases.

The Ateneo MISA RAMA event was held last August 2, 2008 at the Escaler Hall of the Ateneo de Manila University.
