QUEZON CITY, PHILIPPINES, October 8, 2007. Q-Linux Labs, the country's pioneer and most respected name in Linux and Open Source, announced today the successful completion of another round of training of Red Hat Enterprise Linux courses.
On the first week of September (September 2-6), Q-Linux Labs welcomed trainees for RH033: Red Hat Enterprise Linux Essentials. Trainees came from well known local companies such as Philippine Airlines, Analog Devices, and Manulife. On the following week (September 9-13), a more advanced course was conducted: RH131: Red Hat Enterprise Linux System Administration course with the participation of new trainees from Southeast Asia Interdisciplinary Development Institute (SAIDI), Hewlett-Packard (HP) and GXS. Advanced students in the meanwhile joined the RH 253: Red Hat Enterprise Linux Networking and Security Administration course held last September 16-20, The students came from such companies and organizations as HP, the De La Salle University, Continental Wheels, and IRRI.
The trainings were conducted at IT Group's Training Facility at Unit 8, 2nd Floor Topy's Place Bldg., Economia St. corner Industria St., Libis, Quezon City.
The courses were taught by Mr. Ryan Ching, IT Group's very own Red Hat Certified Engineer and Red Hat Certified Instructor (RHCE/RHCI).
The offered trainings from Red Hat are designed to give trainees the opportunity to select a Linux course that best suits their background and skill. There are courses for beginners, intermediate users, as well as for advanced users needing to enhance their knowledge in preparation for industry certification. Tests to evaluate the knowledge and level of prospective trainees are provided free of charge.
