What we want to hear from you

Q Linux covers open-source intelligence, tooling, and the supply chain behind it. We want your first-hand reporting from kernel maintainers, red teamers, indie hackers, and the analysts who notice patterns before the dashboards do. Anonymous tips are fine; we use Signal and SecureDrop.

If your submission involves a vulnerability, disclose responsibly first. We follow a 90-day coordinated disclosure window and will coordinate publication timing with vendors whenever possible. We do not pay for tips, but we do credit sources on request.

Frequently Asked Questions

Do you accept guest articles?

Occasionally. Pitches should be 200 words max, with one clear thesis and a paragraph on your credibility. We do not publish sponsored content or rewrites of press releases. Reply rate is roughly one in fifteen, usually within ten days.

Can I republish Q Linux articles?

Yes, under our Creative Commons BY-NC 4.0 license. Keep the byline, link the canonical URL, and do not edit the body. Commercial republication requires written permission from the editor and a small licensing fee.

How do you handle anonymous sources?

We verify identity through Signal or SecureDrop before publication, redact identifying details, and store communications encrypted at rest. We will go to court to protect source identity and have done so twice. Sources are never burned for clicks.

Where can I follow Q Linux outside email?

We post links and short takes on Mastodon (@[email protected]) and LinkedIn. We do not maintain accounts on X, Facebook, Instagram, or TikTok by editorial choice, and any account claiming to be us on those platforms is impersonation.
